For those of you who do not know me, my name is Vic Shallow. I'm a PGA member and director of instruction at Reunion Resort in Orlando Florida. Previously I taught golf for 14 years at Waters Edge C.C. In Grosse Ile Mi. With the help of the Trenton and Grosse Ile high school golf coaches, I managed a junior golf program that averaged over 100 kids annually.

It has also been my pleasure to work with many fine high school players individually on their golf games. My association with many coaches and players made me aware of the need for a competitive training ground for juniors in the Downriver area which was the reason for starting The Downriver Junior Golf Tour.
I thank you for your continued support and I wish you the best of luck in your golfing endeavors.
Sincerely,
Vic Shallow

Tony Fanola Holds Off Scott Schering To Win Player Of The Year
Tony Fanola holed a 25 foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to take player of the year honors for 2009.Fanola and Schering battled all season long and the final event was no exception. Schering fought back twice from two stroke deficits with a chip in and two lengthy birdie putts. Fanola took a one shot lead into the 18th and rolled in a 25 foot birdie putt to take player of the year by the narrowest point margin in the tour's history. Congratulations to Tony and Scott on a great season!
Mac Howey Wins The Tour Championship In A Playoff Over Tony Fanola
Mac Howey rolled in a 12 foot birdie on top of Fanola's 25 footer to send the championship to extra holes. After Tony Fanola made his birdie on the final hole of regulation, Mac Howey was left with a 12 footer to tie. Howey's clutch putt sent the two players to a playoff which Howey went on to win. Mac also finished a very close third in the player of the year points list in the open division. Good work Mac!
