Welcome to the official website of The Downriver Junior Golf Tour!

Dear Southeast Michigan Junior Golfers and Parents,
The Downriver junior golf tour is targeted for 13-18 year old male and female junior golfers in the downriver and Monroe county areas. The 2008 season will be our third year of operation.

The tour provides the Downriver community with a first class player development opportunity that makes available competitive events, professional instruction, golf specific strength training and classes on rules and short game.

DOWNRIVER JUNIOR GOLF TOUR MEMBERSHIP

To participate a player must be a tour member.

The cost of tour membership for the 2008 season is $90 and tournament fees will be $35-$40 per event.

Boys and girls 13-18 years of age are eligible.

Our two age divisions are as follows:

▪ Boys & Girls 13-15 Membership Application
▪ Boys & Girls 16-18

Girls play from 80% of the distance of the Boys

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Vic Shallow and I am a PGA member and golf professional at Waters Edge C.C. in Grosse Ile Michigan. I have been at Waters Edge for the past twelve years and with the help of the Grosse Ile, Trenton and Carlson high school golf coaches have managed a junior program that has averaged over 100 kids annually.

It has also been my pleasure to work with many fine high school players individually on their golf games. My association with many coaches and players made me aware of the need for a competitive training ground for juniors in the Downriver area which was the reason for starting the Downriver Junior Golf Tour.

Team Best Ball Championship

Sept. 13th at Lake Erie Metropark

On Saturday, September 13th we will be having our first ever member-guest team championship at Lake Erie Metropark starting at 2 pm. The entry fee is $45 per player ($90 per team) and the format is best ball.
