Dear Southeast Michigan Junior Golfers and Parents, The Downriver Junior Golf Tour is targeted for 13-18 year old male and female golfers in the Downriver and Monroe county areas.The 2009 season will be our fourth year of operation.
The tour provides the Downriver community with a first class player development opportunity that makes available competitive events, professional instruction and classes on rules and short game.

To participate a player must be a tour member.
The cost of tour membership for the 2009 season is $90 and tournament fees will be $35-$40 per event.
Boys and girls 13-18 years of age are eligible.

Boys and girls 16-18
Girls play from 80% of the distance of the boys.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Vic Shallow. I'm a PGA member and director of instruction at Reunion Resort in Orlando Florida. Previously I taught golf for 14 years at Waters Edge C.C. In Grosse Ile Mi. With the help of the Trenton and Grosse Ile high school golf coaches, I managed a junior golf program that averaged over 100 kids annually.

It has also been my pleasure to work with many fine high school players individually on their golf games. My association with many coaches and players made me aware of the need for a competitive training ground for juniors in the Downriver area which was the reason for starting The Downriver Junior Golf Tour.
